# More than 110,000 daily arrivals in Macau from Easter Friday to Sunday

Data from Macau's public security police showed that Macau averaged just over 110,000 daily visitors from Easter Friday to Easter Sunday from March 29 to March 31.

For Hong Kong, Macau's second-largest tourist destination market after mainland China, this year's Easter season runs from Good Friday (March 29) to Easter Monday (April 1). Easter is not a public holiday in mainland China.

From March 29 to March 31, Macau's total number of visitors stood at 330,447. Saturday marked the highest tally in a single day at 122,235 for three days.

The police data does not include source market analysis of inbound visitors.

However, they show that the city's border gate, the inland border crossing between Macau and Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, which is the closest mainland city, was the most congested. The second busiest border checkpoint is the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Makau Bridge crossing, with a total of 105,402 visitors arriving during the same period.
